A Hauntingly Magical Celebration

It's finally the day of Vanessa's Hauntingly Magical Celebration!!!

I had so many plans for my little corner of the party but alas, life has been busy, busy, busy. Oh, wouldn't it be lovely to really be able to twitch my nose or "flick and swish" my wand and make things happen. Alas, I'm forced to do things the old fashioned way, at least, most of the time. Hehehe.

IMG_9804 by you.

So, I did the best I could. I thought since I never managed to have that real time Witches' Tea I'd hoped, I'd have a wee Witches' Tea for all of you. I've been baking up some witchy goodies.

IMG_9805 by you.

Pumpkin gingerbread cookies. I used my new cookie cutters, the ones I found last year. I'd been looking for years for some that were gravestone shaped. While these are baking, I'll set the table and then go freshen up, looks like twilight is upon us and hopefully folks will start arriving soon.

IMG_9841 by you.

Oh! I see a few figures flying low over the neighbor's house. Welcome! Come on in!

IMG_9807 by you.

Feel free to leave your brooms here by the door.

IMG_9806 by you.

Or next to mine in the dining room. I'll need it later to go visiting other party folk myself. What? Some of you came by car? Well, hmmm, what an odd way to travel. But no matter, just glad that you came!

IMG_9809 by you.

I wish I'd had time to make more goodies but I'm betting there are lots of holiday treats at all the party stops you've been visiting. Here's my offerings.

IMG_9815 by you.

Tea? I've got some strong black English Breakfast in the orange polka dot pot and a rooibos pumpkin spice tea in the white witch pot.

IMG_9827 by you.

Soy milk? It's vanilla. None for you in the pumpkin spice? But yes for the black tea drinker. Of course!

IMG_9811 by you.

And a cookie? Or two? Feel free to indulge, there's plenty more in the kitchen when this plate is empty.

IMG_9813 by you.

Or would you prefer one of these?

IMG_9842 by you.

Yum. This little witch's broom is tasty. I'm using one of my fortune telling cups so that I can read the leaves for you after a while.

IMG_9834 by you.

My witch hat is at the cleaners so I, wise Madame Owl, am wearing my new crown. Hubby had to help me with the photography so my hands were free to oraclize... oracle-ize... er, read the leaves. (I obviously didn't marry him for his camera skills, ahem) Let me concentrate for a moment........

IMG_9823 by you.

It looks like this coming year the fates will be smiling down upon you!

I'm so glad you were able to stop by for awhile. You probably need to be off, so many parties to attend before the night is through. But...

IMG_9822 by you.

If you're interested in a something a bit stronger than tea, come on back later. I'll be opening up a bottle or two. Hmmm, looks like Hubby has already started on that white wine on the end.

If you don't get a chance to get back again tonight, please don't be a stranger. (Although it's fine if you want to simply be strange, that's cool.) I "Post Spooky" all October long so there will be lots of Halloween, Samhain, and Dia de Los Muertos, or just a little spookified topics to enjoy both here and over on my studio blog, Laume's Studio, all month long.

If you're headed back to the party participant list, here's the link to A Fanciful Twist.

I love the EVIL wine in the middle, I wonder how it tastes? I'm going to make graveyard pudding for our Halloween party but I remember all the trouble you had finding a gravestone cookie cutter.
