An Easter Story

This is what happens when a teenage boy colors eggs.

"One cold, dark, windy spring night the Easter Zombie rose up and went in search of bunnies. He wanted to eat them.
He roamed the hillsides and neighborhoods in search of bunnies. Real bunnies. Chocolate bunnies. Peep bunnies. He didn't care. Just as long as they were bunnies.

Alas, since he rose up the night after Easter, there were no bunnies roaming the dark streets of Susanville. All the Easter Bunnies had gone back to their cozy mythological burrows for another year or been eaten by small, evil children.

So, the Easter Zombie had to settle for a Monster Egg. You can tell it's a Monster Egg by it's strange, green markings. The Monster Egg gave The Easter Zombie great energy, so much energy that he shuffled at great speed past the houses full of sleeping families, down the empty Main Street and out into the vast empty desert, never to be seen again. So, the town of Susanville was safe once more. Or so they thought....

In the pioneer cemetery high on a hill above the sleeping town, a shadowy figure rolled silently out of an ancient mausoleum..... the Easter Vampire."

The End.
